I asked myself the same thing four years ago.

I was juggling two kids under two, pregnant with a third, and with a husband who travels overseas monthly for work.

I was doing all the things: working part-time, building a house, cooking from scratch, working out daily, and trying to stay connected to myself. 

Until my hair fell out, my skin flared up, and I literally sliced my finger in a blender - don’t worry…I kept it, phew!

That’s when I knew something needed to had to change.

I realised that just doing achieving more doesn’t make me whole. Because I already am. Exactly as I am

I wake up and stand at the window, open the curtains, and take a long, steady breath before the chaos begins. I actually feel the sun on my skin and - just for a second- I smile at the day.

When the after-school tornado hits, instead of snapping, I pause for 30 seconds, hand to heart, exhale. And dinner isn’t just eating the leftover mac and cheese my kids didn't want, I now sit down something simple but satisfying. 

And when the house is finally quiet, when I’ve got 10 minutes that are just for me - a cup of tea, a sway of my body as I feel my feet on the earth, and a long exhale tells my nervous system: I’m safe, I’m steady, I’m here.

I’m totally legit!

I’ve harnessed three pillars of wellness (mindset, nutrition & somatics) that are tried, tested and backed by science.

I also incorporate what I know from lived experience, to help you come home to your body and feel more ease, more vitality, and more joy in your everyday.

Whats more, I have over twenty years experience in the movement and wellness industry, with specific qualifications in:

  • Nutrition coaching

  • Mindfulness & mind-body techniques

  • Yoga (Nidra, Hatha, Vinyasa, & Yin) Yoga

  • Pre and post-natal exercise

  • And dance!

    Sometimes it’s a 5 minute kitchen dance party. Sometimes it’s a dreamy intuitive yoga flow.

    I love experimenting with easy and wholefood recipes to build my health from the inside out.

  • Diving deep into the “woo”

    I adore all things oracle cards, crystals, and New Moon house saging! 

  • Lots of belly laughing

    I enjoy a good belly laugh with my Hubs (I still find him hilarious 10 years on so we must be doing OK!)

  • Get teary with happiness

    Especially when cuddling my kids at bedtime - I really am so obsessed with them

  • Allow myself to feel sad

    Sometimes I really miss my family in the UK and long to hug my Dad.

  • Get to bed early

    I start turning into a pumpkin by 9pm - I don’t do late nights well!

I BELIEVE THAT:

When we work on ourselves, we benefit others, greatly.

For years, I volunteered and worked in refugee resettlement and support in NZ and Australia, and spent time in countries such as Uganda, Cambodia and Timor Leste - where war and poverty have forced people to flee. 

I met some of the brightest, smartest, most loving beings on the planet in these roles. Their resilience and courage humbles me on the daily.
