What does a Health and Wellness Coach do?


All coaches work a little differently and have their own unique style and approach, here at Alex Ballagh wellness my approach is to compassionately and unjudgementally help you identify your blind spots, to determining your vision/intention, and to help you build a bridge to cross over to allow you to get there. I help you set and achieve personalised goals in areas like nutrition, movement, stress management, thoughts and belief systems, and lifestyle habits to improve your overall well-being.

How is a Coach different from a Therapist?


A life/wellness/health Coach focuses on present and future goals, offering guidance and accountability, while a Therapist typically explores past experiences and mental health challenges in a clinical setting.

Can Coaching help with work-life balance?

Yes, wellness and life coaching can help you create sustainable routines, set healthy boundaries, and prioritise self-care to achieve better work-life balance. Can I work with you if I live outside Christchurch?


Absolutely. I work with clients across New Zealand and the world via Zoom, so you can receive coaching support wherever you are - from UK to Steward Island. For those in Christchurch, I offer 1:1 in person coaching right here.


Do you offer Corporate Wellness Services in Christchurch or NZ-wide?


Yes! I offer Corporate Wellness Programs for businesses in Christchurch and across NZ. These can include stress management, daily rituals, mindfulness training, holistic nutrition, breath work and movement sessions.

Can I gift a wellness coaching package to someone?


Yes! Gift vouchers are available and make a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one in Christchurch or anywhere in the world

What makes your coaching unique?


I combine evidence-based coaching with a compassionate lens. I bring a multi-faceted approach drawing on nervous system tools, mindbody techniques, somatics, yoga, mindfulness and nutrition. My approach is down-to-earth, realistic, and tailored specifically for busy women


Do I need prior experience to join your programs?

Not at all. In fact, these offerings are perfect for you if you’re new to this. My coaching programs are designed for individuals at all levels, from beginners to seasoned practitioners. I focus on creating approachable and effective routines that fit your unique experience and lifestyle

How do the personalised programs work?

All coaching packages begin with a one-on-one consultation to understand your unique lifestyle, goals, and challenges. Based on this discussion, I create a customised wellness plan that may include mindest work, movement practices, breathing exercises, somatic practices, meditations, meal guidance, and mindfulness rituals tailored to your needs.

Your wellness roadmap will be loaded into an app which you can access for free and use to help track your progress, mark sections complete, and contact me whenever you need it.

You receive regular coaching calls along the way as well as additional supportive digital resources

Are all the programs four weeks?

The Nourished Path requires a minimum 8 week commitment and you can assess where you’re at after that. The Nourished Journey group coaching container runs for a set duration.

Which App do you host the programs through?

After much trial and error and research, I have found the Trainerize App to be best suited to client needs.

I have a very busy life. Are these programs going to be the right fit for me?

Absolutely. I specialise in helping busy individuals incorporate wellness into their daily lives without overhauling their schedules. The strategies and practices I recommend are practical, time-efficient, and easy to integrate.

What are the costs of your progams?

The 1:1 coaching container is highly bespoke and transformative and 1:1 $3, 975 for a potent 8 weeks. This includes all coaching calls, full access to the app and your tailored program, unlimited 1:1 messaging support, and free access to all digital resources.

Absolutely. I am trained to offer holistic, whole food nutrition guidance for all eaters and diets

What is your background?

With over twenty years of experience as a Yoga Teacher and Wellness Coach, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals integrate sustainable self-care practices into their daily lives. I have specific training in mindbody techniques, nutrition coaching, dance, hatha yoga, vinyasa yoga, yin yoga, pre and postnatal exercise, nutrition, yoga nidra, and leadership. My approach combines movement, mindfulness, and nutrition to promote holistic well-being. Find out more about me here

Can I change my consult time after booking?

As a busy Mama I totally get that life can throw us curveballs. So yes, rescheduling your time is always an option. I may not be able to guarantee the same day/time slot - but I will be as flexible as possible to meet you where you are at

Do I get a discount if I purchase more than one offer?

All of my active clients are offered a 10% discount at any of my in-person events, workshops and retreats.
